The inaugural conference of the Association of Independent Insolvency Practitioners (AIIP) was held across two chilly days in Canberra, the 28th and 29th of June. The conference began with a discussion on what is the the future of the industry. This very much set the tone for the conference as most speakers advocated for significant changes to the industry and the laws that govern it.
Shabnam Amirbeaggi discussed the need for a minimum standard of business education for those aspiring to become company directors. On the final day Nick Crouch was one of the speakers, alongside Richard Fisher AM, on the application and benefits of pre-packs.
